The Role

Payfirma’s sales team drives new business and market effectiveness through inbound and outbound initiatives. As a member of our inbound business development team, you will receive a high number of inbound calls and inquiries from organizations and gather information about customer needs and generate appointments. Once you qualify a lead the goal is to perform a live transfer to a Payment Advisor who will guide the prospect through the next aspect of their decision making process. Training and messaging will be provided by the sales and marketing team. Detailed and accurate lead records and call summary will be input into Salesforce CRM. In addition, there will be basic awareness calling related to trade shows and other marketing programs and activities.

Primary Responsibilities

Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of Payfirma portfolio of products in order to move the customer to the next level of the sales cycle
Use marketing automation software to send emails
Upon contacting a prospective client, probe to understand business needs and have the ability to identify opportunities to pair those needs with Payfirma products/services
Monitor industry trends, competitive intelligence and market conditions relative to specific service offerings and communicate appropriately to departmental and organizational leaders
Process and maintain leads in prospecting database for weekly reporting
Serve as the primary resource for the researching and prospecting of qualified new business leads via internet, media directories, referrals and other resource materials
Responsible for identifying, contacting and tracking prospective clients, generating leads and qualifying high-quality business opportunities for the sales team via outbound phone calls

Requirements

1-3 years of previous sales experience
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
Fluent in the English language with French language proficiency preferred
Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to a constantly changing environment
Experience using Salesforce.com is highly preferred
Proficient in Microsoft office products
Exceptionally strong work ethic and ability to be flexible on working hours
Positive, energetic and outgoing personality
