We’re looking for an enthusiastic, strategic and people-focused leader to join our Talent & Culture team. Reporting to the VP Corporate Development along with direction and support from Eventbase’s co-founders, your role will involve leading and overseeing all T&C activities, including recruitment, performance management, compensation, Eventbaser experience, career development and systems. As a member of the leadership team, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact in supporting Eventbase’s rapid growth from 100 to 150 staff and beyond by providing programs and processes that attract and retain talent while championing our stellar culture. This is a full-time position working in our Vancouver head office.
Lead, coach and support the development of a team of T&C professionals
Partner with leaders across the company as a trusted advisor to provide advice, coaching and support on a variety of T&C functions, including performance management, compensation, Eventbaser experience and career progression
Oversee recruitment activities that support ambitious hiring growth plans
Develop and implement T&C processes and best practices to increase team member satisfaction, engagement, retention and productivity
Implement systems and technology to improve and streamline data and T&C processes
Contribute new ideas to employment branding, social media and culture projects that attract quality candidates and promote Eventbase as an employer of choice
Provide direction on the company’s benefits program and negotiate improvements where possible
Assist with establishing a T&C budget and manage ongoing budget for the team and other T&C initiatives supporting areas like benefits and retention
Act as the “glue” that keeps T&C projects and deliverables progressing through coordination, project management and driving timelines
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have the Following Experience And Skills
5+ years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity managing people
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Commerce in Human Resources or related discipline
CHRP or other HR specific courses or certification is an asset
Experience in software / technology industry and working in a rapid growth environment is preferred
Superior communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organization skills and strong attention to details
Collaborative, team player who has an “open door”
Flexible and adaptable approach when faced with changing priorities
Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality and deal with sensitive issues
