AngularJS Web Developer (Intermediate/Senior - Contract)

at Radical I/O Technology in Vancouver

Hey! We’re Radical I/O Technology, a boutique (tight-knit, nimble, high-quality, craftspeople) software development shop who loves to mix interesting tech with doing good in the world. We attract customers and employees who share many of our same values of integrity, honesty, approachability, quality, community, and collaboration.

We need your help to build an application on top of AngularJS and Cordova. You will also create AngularJS controllers, directives and services to work with JSON-based APIs and search data.

Programming in JavaScript (functional and object-oriented) is a core capability. You'll use those skills to build UI screens for the mobile web using the Ionic framework, CSS and HTML5, and to access data and create functionality.

We are looking to hire one highly independent and experienced JavaScript dev for this full-time, 4-5 week contract (preferably starting November 18 and ending before the holidays). This work might lead to other contracts and/or permanent roles depending on your career aspirations and on how well we all work together.

This is a prominent project for a major client. It is part of a high profile set of apps being developed for our large client in Vancouver, BC. While local Vancouver, BC applicants are preferred, we will also consider remote devs who live in Canada.

We’d love to hear from you if you:

know AngularJS and live for JavaScript (even better: have used Ionic).
have used Cordova/Phonegap to develop mobile apps.
combine HTML5 and CSS to build stunning sites or apps, particularly for mobile.
work with remote data APIs via REST and JSON.
write clean code, adhere to effective software design principles, and work independently.
you tackle new web technologies with ease.
are comfortable with Agile development, ensuring quality and making customers happy.

When applying, show us you love what you do and how your capabilities fit this role.

We are actively working towards changing the gender imbalance in the tech industry (see our work with App Camp For Girls), and we highly encourage devs whose identities are under-represented in this field to apply. If you don’t match 100% of the job requirements, but are passionate about what you do and eager to learn, we want to hear from you.

Please only apply if you are legally able to work full-time in Canada for any employer.

Hourly compensation is negotiable and based on experience.

Recruiters, please don't contact this job poster. Do not contact us with unsolicited services or offers.
