What We’re Building

Our team is passionate about creating a better future of transportation, by enabling connections between people in every city. This is why we are making commute-sharing accessible with Spare Rides, a real-time commute-sharing platform that connects drivers and riders going to similar destinations, bringing carpooling into the 21st century. By utilizing unused transportation supply, providing the user with a simple, real-time matching system, and having frictionless payments, Spare is creating a new form of intracity commute-sharing only available with current mobile technology.

Transportation is at the brink of a revolution, where inefficiencies in the system are going to be solved by modern technology and where long-standing, inefficient institutions will be challenged. Spare is poised to make headway in this scenario.

We are part of The Next Big Thing incubator (, which provides resources for Canada’s best young entrepreneurs.
