Senior Front End Developer

We're looking for an experienced Front End Developer with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role. You will lead the efforts of our internal dev team to plan, build, and manage responsive websites using the latest technologies. We are looking for someone to provide leadership and optimize our development process and practices. You will be involved in the discovery and information gathering process and take a lead role in developing strategy and outlining technical solutions for our clients. We are not looking for someone to simply take orders and execute them; we are looking for someone to lead, think critically, be active in planning/documentation/specs, and deliver technical solutions for our clients in the context of the project scope. You don't have to have every qualification in the laundry list below, but here's a summary of the most important skills we're looking for:

Experience planning, documenting, and scoping out technical projects on common open source technologies, frameworks, and CMS (WordPress & Drupal)
Ability to communicate and make sense of technology to business and marketing people
Experience with HTML5, CSS3, SASS, JQuery, WordPress, Foundation or Bootstrap
Experience working with responsive websites and mobile technologies
Desired Skills & Experience:

Javascript frameworks such as (Mootools/Dojo)
Experience developing for mobile devices
Solid problem-solving and coding skills
Diagnose and troubleshoot client-side problems using browser-based developer tools
LAMP Stack development experience
Version control experience (SVN/GIT)
Responsive web development including understanding of cross-browser/device compatibility and limitations
Functional knowledge of web standards, usability, best practices, and responsive frameworks such as Foundation or Bootstrap
Ability to take a PSD or AI and turn them into clean, semantic code
Know your way around Photoshop and/or Illustrator
Know your way around a Mac
Charm, civility, and basic communication skills
Independently manage multiple projects with minimal supervision
Email & phone etiquette
At least 5 years working in an agency setting or similar
Experience that allows you to produce work in a timely manner, and meet deadlines
Content Management Systems:


Experience with WordPress and customizing plugins
Experience developing custom themes
Familiarity managing child themes

Familiarity with modifying Drupal Theme hooks to display data
Experience using Views, Panels, Context for rendering content
Proficiency with Drupal Unit Testing and automated processes
