Windows Phone Engineer

We are looking for a Windows Phone Engineer to join the Slack engineering team in our Vancouver office. If you join us, you’ll have the opportunity to make big contributions to our Windows Phone application. Millions of people rely on Slack for their communication and we need engineers to help make that happen on every platform.


Assisting in feature development and maintenance of our Windows Phone 8.1 application
Engage in all aspects of the software development life-cycle, including programming, design, implementation, testing and debugging
Conduct continuous software analysis to measure and improve overall platform performance
Unit testing, bug-fixing and documentation
Writing efficient, maintainable and reusable code
Strong cross-functional contribution in defining and delivering the roadmap for products on mobile and tablet devices


1-3 years of experience developing with C# programming language and .Net Framework
1+ years of experience in development of Windows Phone applications
Experience with WinRT or Windows Phone 8 application development
Understanding of Windows 8 UI design paradigm and standards
Experience with interactive application development, memory management, concurrency and multithreading
Deep understanding of common challenges with mobile/embedded devices, including power management, resource optimization, and wireless network reliability
A disciplined approach to development, documentation and code structure
BS in Computer Science or related field
