You are a hustle-ready, social/creative/organized digital native with professional experience in building and engaging online communities. You have command of best practices and trends in social media, and are well-informed and versed in popular culture.
 You have an active and well-rounded personal presence on social media, with a command of each network and their best practices. You’re an excellent communicator and creative thinker, are passionate about social change, and have an ability to use both data and intuition to inform decisions.


The Social Media Coordinator will help develop and implement the company’s community engagement and promotion strategies and tactics. The key objective for the Social Media Coordinator is to grow our followers, engage and retain them, help convert them into leads and customers, and help recruit active ambassadors and promoters of our company. You will also actively support our sales and marketing initiatives with social support on an as-needed basis


Manage Chimp’s social media channels

Implement & manage Chimp’s social media strategy and day-to-day activity.
Implement and manage social media campaigns and track their success.
Drive consistent, relevant traffic and leads from our social network presence.
Monitor social media trends, applications, channels, design and strategy.
Live, breathe, and share analytics: Measure success of social media presence and report back regularly.

Chimp advocacy

Listen and engage in relevant social discussions about our company, competitors, and industry and monitor for brand related topics of conversation.
Identify and engage industry and community champions, and drive Chimp’s community engagement strategy.

Content distribution

Source news and articles to post on social media channels.
Write blog posts and other social media content.
Design graphic-oriented content for publication


1-3 years experience in social media and community-based marketing
Demonstrated experience growing social audience
Deep understanding of how to drive user growth and lifetime value
Comfort reaching out and engaging with influencers on multiple platforms
Proficient in content marketing theory and application. Experience sourcing and managing content development and publishing
Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of Social Media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest etc.) and the appropriate use of each
Experience using social scheduling and engagement tools such as Hootsuite and Buffer
Comfortable creating basic graphic content in a short time frame


Working knowledge of principles of SEO, including keyword research. Highly knowledgeable in the principles of “Search and Social”
Some experience with Paid Social marketing channels
Functional knowledge and/or personal experience with WordPress.
